Texas Storage Company Rewards Students for Grades and Attendance

Amy's Attic Self Storage in Killeen, Texas, just launched a program that proves businesses can make a real difference in kids' lives without requiring perfection.

The Student Achievement & Perfect Attendance Rewards Program recognizes elementary students in grades 1 through 5 who earn top marks, improve their grades, or maintain perfect attendance. Every qualifying student gets a goodie bag with a small gift, their choice of drink, and sweets.

Here's what makes this program special: students don't need straight A's all year long. During the first grading period, kids who earn an A average receive recognition. But after that, students can qualify either by maintaining their A average or by simply improving their grades compared to the previous period.

"We want children in our communities to know that their effort matters," said Bob Vamvas, Director of Operations for Amy's Attic. "An A is worth celebrating. Improving your grades is worth celebrating."

Students with perfect attendance also earn recognition. They can visit any participating Amy's Attic location with a parent or guardian, bring their report card or attendance record, and receive a goodie bag. Perfect attendance students get one entry into a bicycle drawing for each qualifying period, with a winner selected at the end of the school year.

The program runs throughout the school year. Students just need to bring their report card or school documentation showing their qualifying achievement to any participating location.
