This Chrome Extension Uses a Cat to Stop Your Scrolling

Developer Zokuzoku designed the tool for people who open social media without thinking. The extension was inspired by real cats who demand attention at the exact moment their owners need to work.

Here's how it works: users set their own time limits, but the default is one hour of scrolling before the cat appears. The extension tracks active time across Bluesky, Facebook, Instagram, Reddit, Threads, TikTok, YouTube, and X.

When your time runs out, the cat strolls onto your screen and a countdown clock starts ticking. The default break is five minutes. During that time, the cat sits patiently in the center of your browser, breathing, blinking, moving its ears and tail, and absolutely refusing to budge.

You can't click around it. You can't ignore it. You just have to wait until the cat decides your break is over.
