This Micro-Camper Takes Adventure Beyond the Beaten Path

Storyteller Overland launched the Grand Bohemian, a compact camper built inside the Ineos Grenadier that brings luxury camping to trails most RVs could never reach. The Alabama-based company took a vehicle already known for serious off-road chops and transformed it into a fully certified micro-camper without losing any of its adventure-ready edge.

The Grenadier starts with impressive credentials: full-time four-wheel drive, three differential locks, and solid-beam axles that tackle rocky terrain like a mountain goat. Storyteller kept all that capability and added everything needed for extended off-grid stays.

Inside the compact space, an L-shaped lounge converts to sleeping quarters with a pop-up roof bed. A kitchen features an induction cooker, dual-faucet sink that swivels for outdoor use, and a drop-down worktop on the tailgate. Smart storage solutions include a pass-through cage accessible from both sides, designed to hold camping gear without wasting an inch.

The outdoor setup unfolds into a basecamp with a 270-degree awning and exterior kitchen access. Two people and their dogs can comfortably live out of this rig while accessing campsites unreachable by traditional motorhomes.

Storyteller founder Jeffrey Hunter says they'd been dreaming of this concept since their early days building adventure vans. "It wasn't until the Grenadier came to market that we finally had the right platform," Hunter explained. The vehicle's body-on-frame construction and global serviceability made it the perfect canvas.
