Three Derry Firms Investing £1.6M to Create 21 New Jobs

Three growing companies in Derry are betting big on their future, and that means 21 new jobs are coming to Northern Ireland's North West.

FoodServe, Phase X Consulting, and Creevagh Consulting Engineers have collectively committed £1.6 million to expand their operations. Invest NI is backing their ambitions with nearly £290,000 in support.

The biggest expansion comes from FoodServe, a digital platform that helps restaurants and takeaways connect with customers. Founded in Derry and based at the Skeoge Industrial Estate, the company is investing £710,000 to create 10 new positions while expanding into the US and UAE markets.

"Innovation has been central to our growth from the outset," said founder Keith Donaghy. "As a company founded in Derry, we are proud to be creating skilled jobs in the North West while developing technology that helps food businesses grow and compete in a changing market."

Phase X Consulting, a software specialist based in Ebrington, is putting £512,000 into its business to add six new roles. The firm focuses on Workday, a popular HR and office platform, and sees growing demand across Britain and Ireland.

Meanwhile, Creevagh Consulting Engineers is investing £383,000 to create five new engineering positions. The company, which sits on the Derry-Donegal border, provides design and consultancy services to clients throughout Ireland and Britain.

Aeidin McCarter, who leads Invest NI's North West office, highlighted what makes these investments special: "Our team here in the North West has worked closely with these three innovative, ambitious businesses to support their growth as they invest in their people, expand their services and pursue exciting opportunities in new markets."
