Toy Story Porsches Raise $3M for Kids' Charities

When Porsche turned Buzz Lightyear, Jessie, and Woody into real cars, they created something that would change thousands of young lives.

The three custom Porsche 911s, unveiled earlier this month, have sold to a single anonymous buyer. That buyer is donating the entire $3 million purchase price to three charities that support children and families.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, the American Red Cross, and Starlight Children's Foundation will each receive $1 million. The collector and philanthropist said the incredible cars and the work these charities do for children made this "a natural fit."

Porsche's Sonderwunsch department, which translates to "special wishes," spent 350 hours hand-painting each vehicle. The Buzz Lightyear car is a 911 GT3 with white, green, and purple paint that matches the Space Ranger's iconic suit, complete with purple and green accents in the cabin.

Jessie inspired a 911 Targa 4 GTS with blue rocker panels and yellow accents outside. Inside, Dark Night Blue leather covers the cabin with red accents and cow-inspired floor mats that honor her Western roots.

The Woody tribute is a 911 Carrera T with a unique denim-like finish. The team pressed real denim into wet paint to create the texture, then added checkered patterns and brown leather inside that mirror the cowboy's signature look.

The Ripple Effect

This isn't Porsche's first charitable partnership with Pixar. The last collaboration raised $3.2 million for good causes, proving that fun and philanthropy make excellent partners.

The $3 million will support mentorship programs for youth through Big Brothers Big Sisters, emergency relief and disaster response through the Red Cross, and programs that improve life for seriously ill children through Starlight. Each dollar translates into real help for families who need it most.

These cars remind us that creativity and purpose can drive together, turning childhood nostalgia into meaningful change for the next generation.
