Grant Casey of Hope Hull and Madi Clarke of Lowndesboro each received $1,000 scholarships through the 2026-27 Alfa Foundation Scholarship Program. Casey attends Lurleen B. Wallace Community College, while Clarke studies at the University of Alabama.
The scholarships can cover tuition, fees, books, or supplies. Both students were selected from a competitive pool of applicants across Alabama.
The Alfa Foundation chose 100 recipients this year based on grade point average, participation in school and community activities, honors, work experience, and future goals. Winners came from 44 counties and will attend 27 different academic institutions throughout the state.
