UAE Delivery Company Removes 11,000kg CO₂ in Eco Push
A UAE logistics company is matching every delivery with verified carbon removal, already eliminating over 11,000 kg of CO₂ while supporting mangrove restoration. Three major brands have joined the yearlong initiative that proves commerce and climate action can work hand in hand.
Every package delivered doesn't have to cost the planet something. Now, one UAE company is proving that e-commerce can actually help fight climate change.
Quiqup, a Dubai-based delivery provider, launched its Eco-Friendly Deliveries program in July 2026 to match every local delivery with verified carbon removal. The initiative connects everyday shipping with real environmental action, supporting both regional climate projects and UAE mangrove restoration efforts.
The results are already showing. Between Quiqup's own commitment and contributions from three founding partners (Baya, The Botanist, and Clarins), the program has removed 11,324 kg of CO₂ from the atmosphere. The company pledged to remove at least 50,000 kg in its first year, separate from what participating brands contribute.
Here's how it works: Quiqup calculates each delivery's carbon footprint and arranges for an equivalent amount to be removed through verified programs. Climate partner CarbonSifr verifies all calculations, ensuring transparency and real impact.
The local mangrove component aligns with the UAE's ambitious goal to plant 100 million mangroves by 2030. Mangroves are climate superheroes, capturing carbon far more effectively than regular forests while protecting coastlines and creating wildlife habitats.

"It's always an amazing moment where your personal values and what's good for business come together," said Bassel El Koussa, Quiqup's CEO. He noted growing consumer demand for environmentally conscious options and emphasized that sustainability now sits at the core of the company's innovation strategy.
The initiative also reflects how UAE's innovation ecosystem supports businesses in creating broader value. Quiqup previously received support through the Mohammed Bin Rashid Innovation Fund's Guarantee Scheme, which helped the company grow to a stage where it can now contribute to national sustainability goals.
The Ripple Effect
This program shows how private companies can turn everyday transactions into climate solutions. Every delivery becomes an opportunity for environmental good rather than just another carbon cost.
As more brands join the initiative throughout the year, the model could reshape how e-commerce thinks about its environmental responsibility. When businesses make sustainability this seamless, customers don't have to choose between convenience and conscience.
The timing matters too. As online shopping continues growing across the Middle East, building sustainability into logistics from the start prevents problems rather than trying to fix them later.
Small deliveries are adding up to big climate action, one package at a time.
