UK Opens 2026 Chevening Scholarships for Future Leaders

Aspiring leaders from around the world now have a chance to earn a fully funded master's degree in the United Kingdom, thanks to the prestigious Chevening Scholarship program opening its doors for 2026.

The UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office announced Monday that applications will be accepted from August 4 through October 6, 2026. The program seeks individuals with strong leadership potential, networking skills, and a passion for driving sustainable development in their communities.

Chevening covers everything. Successful applicants receive full tuition, living expenses, and access to world class education at universities across the UK, plus entry into a powerful global network of leaders and changemakers.

Emma Hennessey, Head of the Scholarships Unit at the FCDO, explained what makes a strong candidate. "Our scholars and fellows are chosen not only for their achievements, but for their leadership potential, their ability to build meaningful connections, and their commitment to creating lasting impact in their communities and globally," she said.

The program particularly welcomes applications from underrepresented groups. Officials emphasize they're building a diverse cohort of future leaders who can collaborate with the UK to create a more resilient and prosperous world.
