Vietnam's AgriS Opens Singapore Innovation Hub for Farming

Getting a brilliant farming solution from a university lab to actual crops can take years, but Vietnam's AgriS just opened a center in Singapore designed to speed that journey dramatically.

The AgriS Global Innovation Center launched in September 2026 as a permanent hub connecting scientists, technology partners, investors, and international markets. The goal is simple: turn promising agricultural research into real solutions that farmers can actually use.

AgriS already manages nearly 90,000 hectares of farmland across Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, and Australia, giving them a massive testing ground for new ideas. The company operates 11 AgTech Hubs and maintains approximately 9,000 hectares of research farms where new technologies get validated under actual farming conditions.

"Innovation creates value when science moves beyond research into real-world application," said Dang Huynh Uc My, Chairlady of AgriS's Board of Directors. The center brings together what's often kept separate: the people doing research, the farmers who need solutions, and the investors who can fund scaling up.

Singapore serves as the strategic meeting point. The city-state's position as a business hub with deep connections to global supply chains makes it ideal for linking Vietnam's agricultural strengths with international technology partners and customers.

The Vietnamese Ambassador to Singapore, Tran Phuoc Anh, highlighted how the center reflects Vietnam's private sector reaching beyond its borders. Singapore's government agencies, including JTC Corporation and Enterprise Singapore, are supporting the development.

The Ripple Effect

This model could change how agricultural innovation happens across Southeast Asia. Instead of research sitting in universities for years, promising solutions can now connect early with production realities, market demands, and funding sources.

For farmers across the region facing climate challenges and food security pressures, faster access to tested, practical technology could mean the difference between struggling harvests and thriving crops. The center aims to create pathways for agricultural innovations from Vietnam and neighboring countries to reach farmers worldwide.

From concept to commercialization, the journey just got shorter.
