Wrestler Beats Cat Allergy, Adopts Hurricane Survivor
Pro wrestler Killer Kross spent his entire life deathly allergic to cats. Then a stray kitten showed up at his door during a hurricane and changed everything.
When a scraggly stray kitten appeared at the doorstep of pro wrestler Killer Kross and his wife Scarlett Bordeaux, they faced an impossible situation. Kross had been deathly allergic to cats his whole life, the kind of allergic that meant hives, swollen eyes, and emergency room visits.
But the couple couldn't turn away the struggling animal. They started leaving out tuna, hoping someone else would claim the kitten.
The cat had other plans. It kept coming back, eventually leaving "gifts" of mouse pieces at their door.
"We would feed it whenever we saw it," Kross told Fox News Digital. "And then it just kinda stuck around."
When a hurricane threatened their area, the wrestler faced a heartbreaking choice. His wife bought outdoor cat structures and a weatherproof house so the kitten could shelter safely at their front door without triggering his severe allergies.

For six months, the cat lived at their doorstep. Kross began cautiously petting it, bracing for the allergic reactions that always came. At first, the hives appeared right on schedule.
Then something remarkable happened. The hives stopped coming. His body was somehow adjusting to this specific cat.
When the stray got attacked and came home bleeding, Kross didn't hesitate. He picked up the injured animal and rushed it to the vet, spending thousands on surgery and care. They cleared out a room in their house for recovery.
Sunny's Take
Today, the former stray lives full time with Kross, Bordeaux, and their two dogs. The animals sleep together, play together, and follow a happy daily routine. The Major League Wrestling champion no longer experiences any allergic symptoms around his unexpected roommate.
"My first time in my life I've had a cat," Kross said. "It's awesome."
The wrestler known as a "terror in the ring" turned out to have the biggest soft spot for an animal that refused to give up on him.
