Zamfara Invests $250M in 125 Roads Connecting Communities

Communities across Nigeria's Zamfara State are getting connected to the wider world through an ambitious infrastructure program that's paving over 400 kilometers of new and improved roads. Governor Dauda Lawal's administration has committed 125 billion naira (about $250 million) to road construction in 2026, targeting areas that have struggled with poor access for decades.

Bridge construction is also part of the plan, including the Sankalawa Bridge and crossings that have limited movement during rainy seasons.
