"I wanted to prove that ultra-precision micro-manufacturing doesn't require a big, high-level laboratory," Hiten explained. He deliberately sourced readily available components that anyone could access, designing the entire mechanical skeleton from scratch using CAD software before 3D-printing the parts.

The physical constraints pushed him to his limits. Fitting control modules, wiring, and actuators into such a tiny frame meant countless failed prototypes and frustrating late nights. When he made structures too thin to save space, they'd snap under motor torque. When housing got too cramped, servos wouldn't synchronize.

Each failure taught him exactly which fraction of a millimeter needed adjustment. After two months of tweaking CAD files and rewriting control code in C/C++, he had a working prototype built entirely from his family home.

This is actually Hiten's second world record this year. In April, he built the smallest weather station ever recorded, fitting temperature, humidity, and air pressure sensors into a device small enough to hold in your palm.

His ambitions extend beyond records too. He recently developed HastaVaani, an offline mobile app that translates Indian Sign Language to help bridge communication gaps. He even met with India's Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways to showcase his achievements.
