The answer slides right out of your tailgate. The Happy Dreamer is a collapsible bedroom pod that packs flat into a case barely a foot tall, then assembles into a full camping module in about 10 minutes with zero tools required.

Here's how it works: the 132-pound unit stores easily at home under a bed or against a garage wall. When adventure calls, two people can carry it to the van or one person can wheel it on a cart. Load it through the back door, drive to your campsite, then slide the pod out the open tailgate where it becomes an instant bedroom.

The clever design features a double bed that's wider inside the van and tapers to fit the pod's narrower width. Campers sleep with their feet in the pod and heads in the van for maximum comfort. A weather-resistant fabric seal keeps out rain and bugs, while drop-down legs stabilize the whole structure.

The system fits popular European vans like the Volkswagen Transporter, Ford Transit Custom, and even works with passenger vans like the Mercedes V-Class. Ebicos showed off both manual and electric versions, with the powered model deploying at the push of a button.
