150+ Oregon Students Make Academic Honor Lists

Students across rural Oregon communities are celebrating academic excellence this spring quarter, with Treasure Valley Community College recognizing more than 150 students for outstanding grades.

The Ontario-based community college announced its spring quarter achievers across three tiers: President's List for perfect 4.0 GPAs, Dean's List for students earning 3.75 to 3.99, and Honor Roll for those maintaining 3.5 to 3.74 grade point averages.

Students hailed from small towns throughout the region, including Ontario, Fruitland, Vale, Nyssa, and Caldwell. The honor lists also included students from Utah communities and as far as Boise, reflecting the college's draw across state lines in the rural intermountain west.

Community colleges serve as crucial pathways to opportunity in rural America, where four-year universities are often hours away. For many students, maintaining high academic standards while balancing work and family responsibilities represents a significant achievement.
