Asahi Denshi Co. designed a device helping patients apply eye drops correctly, cutting costs from repeated applications due to mistakes. NAKANO Inc. pioneered new methods for machining advanced materials like titanium and carbon fiber composites used in medical devices.

E.S.Q. Co. produces ultra-thin metal tubing essential for nano-medical technology. Eyes Japan Co. uses artificial intelligence to analyze medical data and improve patient care decisions.

These awards signal growing recognition of Japanese medical innovation in Europe and strengthen technological cooperation between the two countries. The partnership reflects decades of collaboration, including ties forged after Japan's 2011 triple disaster when German regions like North Rhine-Westphalia partnered with Fukushima Prefecture.
