Buffalo Rock Brings 100 Jobs to Loxley with $10M Facility

Alabama's Gulf Coast just scored a major economic win that will put 100 local residents to work.

Buffalo Rock Company is building a brand new distribution center in Loxley, investing $10 million into a 25,000-square-foot facility that combines modern office space with cutting-edge warehouse operations. The project brings an even split of opportunities: 50 professional positions and 50 distribution and logistics jobs.

The facility will sit on a 10-acre site, with 10,000 square feet dedicated to offices and 15,000 square feet for warehouse operations. Construction plans already include room for the future, with space to add up to 30,000 more square feet, nine additional loading docks, and as many as 50 more jobs down the line.

"This facility strengthens our ability to deliver legendary service to our customers every day," said Wayne Wisdom, Senior Vice President and Chief Business Operations Officer at Buffalo Rock. The company chose Loxley specifically for its established industrial corridor and strategic location along the Gulf Coast.

The Ripple Effect

This investment does more than add jobs to Baldwin County. It confirms what local leaders have been building toward: a reputation as a serious logistics and distribution hub that attracts major companies.
