Dubai's Museum of the Future Nears 5 Million Visitors

A museum dedicated to tomorrow's possibilities is proving that people around the world are hungry for hopeful visions of the future.

Dubai's Museum of the Future opened its doors on February 22, 2022, and is now approaching an impressive milestone of five million visitors. The landmark achievement comes as the museum celebrates its fourth anniversary, marking its transformation from an architectural wonder into a thriving knowledge ecosystem.

Over four years, the museum has hosted 620 events, conferences, and talks covering artificial intelligence, sustainable cities, and the future of education, health, and technology. It has organized 224 educational programs and workshops for diverse age groups and professional sectors.

In 2025 alone, nine heads of state and 46 ministers visited the museum for official engagements. The facility has become more than a tourist attraction; it's a destination for high-level international dialogue about humanity's shared challenges.

The museum's Chairman, Mohammad Abdullah Al Gergawi, emphasized that Dubai has turned future designing into a shared global mission. The vision brings together leading minds from around the world to ask the right questions and develop practical solutions for tomorrow's challenges.

The museum recently added a significant new dimension to its mission. During the World Governments Summit 2026, Dubai's Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed directed that the museum become the permanent home of the World Preservation Lab and BioVault.

This new installation, created in collaboration with Colossal Biosciences, will introduce scientists and visitors to cutting-edge innovations in protecting endangered species and enhancing ecosystem sustainability. The lab reflects the UAE's commitment to supporting scientific innovation and leveraging biotechnology for environmental protection.
