Five Indiana Seniors Win Scholarships for Dream Careers

Five students from Wapahani High School in Indiana are heading to college this fall with more than just diplomas in hand.

The Liberty-Perry Alumni Association announced scholarships for five graduating seniors, each pursuing careers that will help their communities. From radiologic technology to pharmaceutical sciences, these students represent the future of healthcare and education in Indiana.

Mackenzie Brannon received the Alyssa Anne Couch Scholarship to study radiologic technology at Ball State University. She plans to specialize in mammography, CT scans, MRI, or ultrasound scanning after completing her initial training.

Brogan Long earned the Selma Bluebirds Memorial Scholarship and will attend Purdue University for pharmaceutical sciences. His goal is to become a pharmacist or contribute to drug development research.

Khloe Sipes won the Wapahani Alumni Scholarship to study psychology at Ball State University. She dreams of becoming a pediatric psychologist, helping young people navigate mental health challenges.

Zoey Koger received one of two Laycie Marie Chambers Memorial Scholarships to study kinesiology exercise science. She wants to become an athletic trainer for high school or college sports teams, keeping student athletes healthy and safe.

Olivia Walters was awarded the inaugural Mary Ann Beuoy Memorial Scholarship. She'll study biology at Ball State University before pursuing a master's degree to become a certified anesthesiologist assistant.

The Ripple Effect

These scholarships do more than cover tuition. They represent a community investing in its own future, knowing these graduates will likely return to serve Indiana families. Alumni associations across the country gave over $2 billion in scholarships last year, but the personal connection makes each award special.
