Ghana Youth Get Free Leadership Training in Accra

Young entrepreneurs in Ghana's East Legon community just got a powerful boost toward their dreams, completely free of charge.

The HIDAH Humanitarian Foundation wrapped up a two-day skills development program at MAJD International School, bringing together aspiring leaders and business owners for intensive training. Founder Mujahida Ibrahim Prah designed the program to give participants practical tools they could use immediately, not just theory.

The roster of volunteer instructors reads like a who's who of Ghanaian leadership. Former Information Minister Fatimatu Abubakar kicked things off with a session on what leadership really means, telling participants that true leadership starts with managing yourself, not bossing others around. She emphasized self-awareness, discipline, and character development as the foundation for everything else.

The curriculum covered ground that traditional schools often miss. Aisha Mohammed Salia taught participants how to use artificial intelligence tools to boost their productivity and spark innovation. Ibrahim Mohammed Halibu ran hands-on workshops showing attendees exactly how to transform a skill into a profitable business.

Public speaking coach Ibrahim Mustafa helped participants find their voice and project confidence. Suweiba Awudu Bawa shared the creative side of entrepreneurship through event styling and decoration techniques. Osama Mansour Ali and Hajia Safia Murtala rounded out the program with sessions on unlocking personal potential and entrepreneurship fundamentals.

The Ripple Effect

This wasn't just about individual success stories. By equipping young people with both technical skills and leadership abilities, the HIDAH Foundation is planting seeds for community-wide transformation. Today's participants could become tomorrow's employers, creating jobs and opportunities for others.

The program cost participants nothing but drew on resources from multiple community partners. Vaal Real Estate and MAJD International School provided support, while experienced professionals donated their expertise. It's proof that when a community invests in its young people, everyone wins.

The foundation thanked everyone who made the program possible, from trainers to volunteers to the participants themselves who showed up ready to learn and grow.
