Golfer Wins $3.7M Championship, Plans Chipotle Celebration

When Aaron Rai won $3.7 million and secured England's first PGA Championship victory in 107 years, he knew exactly how to celebrate: Chipotle.

The 31-year-old from Wolverhampton didn't even know about the century-long drought until the night before his final round at Aronimink. When reporters asked about his celebration plans, his wife Gaurika Bishnoi jumped in with a laugh: "He'll probably have Chipotle."

Rai credits Bishnoi, herself a professional golfer, for the win. After losing his lead with a bogey on Saturday's 18th hole, the couple spent 30 minutes in the car before reaching their hotel. Her advice on technique and mindset carried him through Sunday's pressure-packed round.

"I'm not exaggerating when I say that I wouldn't be here without her," Rai said. "Her mindset, her advice, her thoughts are absolutely invaluable."

The championship came down to one of the most congested leaderboards in major golf history. Rai's strategy was simple: ignore it completely and focus on each shot with total concentration.

"The course was so punishing," he explained. "You couldn't lose a split-second of focus at any part."
