Google Opens AI Campus in Seoul, First of Its Kind

Google is planting its first global AI campus in Seoul, South Korea, creating a groundbreaking hub that will connect American engineers with Korean researchers, startups, and industry leaders. The announcement came after discussions between South Korean President Lee Jae Myung and Google DeepMind CEO Demis Hassabis in the nation's capital.

The new campus will formalize through a memorandum of understanding between South Korea's Science Ministry and Google. South Korea requested at least 10 engineers from Google's U.S. headquarters to help launch the facility, a proposal Hassabis said he would consider.
