India Gets $36M Solar Cell Factory Creating Clean Energy

Fujiyama Power Systems just approved plans to build a massive 1.2 gigawatt solar cell manufacturing facility in Ratlam, Madhya Pradesh. That's enough capacity to eventually help power millions of Indian homes with sunshine instead of fossil fuels.

The $36.5 million factory will use advanced TOPCon technology, which makes solar cells more efficient at converting sunlight into electricity. Production is set to begin in early 2028, adding to the company's existing solar manufacturing plant in Uttar Pradesh.
