Indian Universities Partner with Apple to Train Job-Ready Grads

Students at two Indian universities are landing jobs faster thanks to a partnership with Apple that's rewriting how they learn to code.

Chitkara University and Galgotias University have launched Apple's iOS Student Developer Program, training students in skills that tech companies are desperately seeking. The timing couldn't be better: technology skills now become outdated in just five years instead of ten.

"Forty percent of what we are teaching today will be irrelevant by the time students graduate," says Dr. Dhruv Galgotia, CEO of Galgotias University. That harsh reality pushed both schools to completely rethink their approach.

The program focuses on what companies actually want. Krishna Prakash, Senior Vice President at Infosys, says his company looks for problem-solving, collaboration, analytical thinking, creativity, and adaptability. These soft skills matter just as much as technical knowledge.

Students learn to build real apps for iPhones and iPads while still in class. They work in teams, solve problems together, and create products they can show to future employers. The hands-on approach means graduates arrive at their first jobs already understanding how tech teams operate.
