Kenya Hosts 3,500 Delegates for Africa Tech Summit in October

Nairobi is about to become the beating heart of African innovation, and 3,500 leaders are coming to make it happen.

Kenya will host the Africa Technology Leadership Conference on October 22-23, welcoming government officials, investors, researchers, and tech entrepreneurs from over 30 countries. The Argyle Hotel venue will buzz with policy discussions, investment pitches, technology showcases, and partnership meetings designed to turn African innovation from ambition into action.

The timing couldn't be better. Africa has developed countless digital strategies and breakthrough research, but implementation has lagged behind vision. "Africa has reached a pivotal moment where science, research and innovation must become strategic instruments for economic transformation and global influence," said Professor Shaukat Abdulrazak, Principal Secretary for Science, Research and Innovation. His department is co-organizing the event alongside Kenya's Ministry of Foreign and Diaspora Affairs and private partners INVIGENCE Ltd and Twinspen Limited.

The conference theme captures its practical focus: "From Technology Ambitions to Strategic Advantage." Dr. Kenneth Rotich, CEO of INVIGENCE Ltd, put it simply: Africa's challenge isn't developing more digital strategies but actually implementing the ones already created.

Participants will tackle real barriers to tech deployment across the continent. Workshops will address how to commercialize university research that currently sits unused. Investment forums will connect African innovators with capital they need to scale. Policy dialogues will help governments create environments where innovation thrives instead of drowning in red tape.

The impact extends far beyond two days of networking. Discussions will produce the ATLC 2026 Communique, a formal set of recommendations for accelerating technology-led development across Africa. When 30+ countries align on tech policy and investment priorities, the entire continent moves faster.
