Milford Haven Donates £250 to End-of-Life Care Charity

Nineteen members of Milford Haven Round Table gathered at the Lord Nelson Hotel on March 11 for what started as an information session and ended with immediate action to help their neighbors.

The group donated £250 to the Paul Sartori Foundation, a Pembrokeshire charity that supports people with life-limiting illnesses and their families. Two foundation team members, community relationship officer Rosie-Faye Hart and future care planning officer Mandy Jones, explained how early conversations about end-of-life wishes give families precious peace during difficult times.

The presentation focused on practical support the charity provides. Future care planning helps people make decisions about their final months while they still can, sparing loved ones from guessing their wishes later.

The Round Table members were moved enough to donate on the spot. But the impact didn't stop there.

The Ripple Effect

Adrian Cook, engagement officer at South Hook LNG, attended the meeting and immediately invited Jones to present to his entire team. One evening conversation has now opened doors to reach dozens more people who might need the foundation's services or want to support its mission.

This pattern of community groups connecting with local charities creates lasting networks of support. The Paul Sartori Foundation noted the meeting shows how organizations can spark important conversations while building partnerships for future collaboration.
