New Solar Program Cuts Costs, Boosts Tax Credits to 40%
A new solar financing platform makes rooftop panels more affordable while helping homeowners claim bigger tax credits. The program eliminates hidden fees and annual price hikes that have long frustrated solar buyers.
Getting solar panels just became easier on your wallet and your peace of mind.
SolSource Solutions and TriBeam Financial just launched Propel, a new way to finance rooftop solar that fixes some of the biggest frustrations homeowners face. Instead of watching your monthly payments creep up every year like traditional solar leases, you pay everything upfront and lock in predictable costs for the life of your system.
Here's what makes it different. Homeowners can use a loan through TriBeam to cover the full contract amount at the start. That eliminates the annual price escalators that have surprised many solar customers with rising bills over time.
The program partners exclusively with Enphase Energy for equipment, which turns out to be a smart financial move. Using American-made Enphase hardware qualifies homeowners for an extra 10% boost to their federal Investment Tax Credit under the Inflation Reduction Act. That brings the total credit to 40% of system costs.

After six years, homeowners can buy the solar panels and battery outright if they want full ownership. Until then, Enphase handles all maintenance and monitoring through its care program.
The platform connects installers directly to lenders through technology that cuts out middlemen and their fees. Greentech Renewables manages the distribution so local installers across the country can offer the program to their customers.
Leading the expansion is new CEO Chris Couture, who previously ran customer financing at Enphase Energy and held leadership positions at SunPower. The company has serious backing too. Hudson Sustainable Group, which has managed over $13 billion in clean energy investments since 2007, is funding the effort.
The Ripple Effect
Making solar more affordable and transparent does more than help individual families save on electricity. When financing barriers fall, more homeowners can switch to clean energy without worrying about surprise costs or complex contracts. That means faster adoption of renewable power and more installers able to grow their businesses serving their communities.
Every simplified solar purchase moves us closer to cleaner air and energy independence, one rooftop at a time.
