Philly Sets Record with 1,291 Cheesesteaks in a Row

The Philadelphia International Airport set a new Guinness World Record today for the longest line of cheesesteaks, with an impressive 1,291 sandwiches stretching across the terminal. The project was more than a year in the making, bringing together PHL Food and Shops, the City of Philadelphia Department of Aviation, and dozens of community partners.

Local businesses rallied to make the dream a reality. Amoroso's Baking Company delivered over 1,000 fresh rolls while Cooper Sharp contributed more than 200 pounds of cheese. Philly's Best Steak provided over 900 pounds of chopped beef, and Chickie's & Pete's offered kitchen equipment, prep space, and enthusiastic volunteers.

Teams of participants worked together to assemble all 1,291 cheesesteaks in just a couple of hours. A Guinness World Records representative was on site to verify each sandwich met the strict criteria before making the record official.
