Raising Cane's Gives $1M to Chuck Norris Youth Charity

Every chicken finger sold on National Chicken Finger Day will help teach a young person discipline, character, and leadership through martial arts.

Raising Cane's restaurants nationwide will donate $1 from each Box Combo sold on July 27 to Kickstart Kids, up to $1 million total. The nonprofit was founded in 1990 by action star Chuck Norris, who passed away in March at age 86.

The celebration honors Norris's decades-long friendship with Raising Cane's founder Todd Graves. Norris created Kickstart Kids to use martial arts training as a way to build character and teach life skills to young people across the country.

Customers who are Caniac Club members or Hot Fresh News subscribers will also receive a free chicken finger with their Box Combo purchase on July 27. The promotion includes limited-edition Chuck Norris merchandise and collectible restaurant items.

National Chicken Finger Day itself has a feel-good origin story. Graves created the July 27 observance back in 2010 to celebrate the menu item that built his restaurant empire.
