"The Trust Seal was born where the best ideas always are, from the community," said Dr. Darla Henderson, CEO of FASEB. A scientist at a FASEB summit sparked the idea, which grew through working groups into something much larger than any single organization could create alone.

The seal works like a quality certification, but for science. An independent committee of experts from participating societies will develop and oversee the framework, with plans to expand the group to include researchers, librarians, funders, and integrity experts.
