Mountain bikers in Sheridan, Wyoming have discovered the secret to making trail work fun: do it together, then ride what you just built.

The Sheridan Community Land Trust is hosting a volunteer night on Thursday, June 11 at 6 p.m. to spruce up Let 'em Roll, one of the most popular trails at Red Grade. Volunteers will tackle weed eating and vegetation clearing on the lower section, improving sight lines and keeping the trail safe for summer riders.

Here's the best part: no experience required. Volunteers can show up with work gloves and sturdy shoes, help for as long as they want, then celebrate with a group ride on the freshly cleared trail.

The Land Trust will provide snacks and drinks for everyone who pitches in. The event starts at the Base Trailhead at Red Grade Trails, and organizers say it's as much about meeting fellow riders as it is about pulling weeds.
