Recent reports had suggested Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents might be deployed at the game as part of broader federal operations. Lanier put those concerns to rest with a clear statement: ICE will have no role at the Super Bowl or any related fan events throughout the week.

"There are no planned ICE or immigration enforcement operations scheduled around the Super Bowl," Lanier said at Tuesday's security briefing. The announcement came as welcome news to fans who simply want to enjoy America's biggest annual sporting event without additional stress.

The NFL has partnered with the Department of Homeland Security for over 20 years on Super Bowl security. That partnership continues this year through various DHS agencies, but won't include immigration enforcement personnel.
