Teen Scores Rank 12 in National CA Exam After College Rejection

When Abhinav Garg didn't get into his dream college after India's CUET entrance exam in 2025, he faced a choice that would define his future. The 18-year-old from Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh, decided to turn disappointment into determination.

Abhinav had been fascinated by the term "CA" (Chartered Accountant) since middle school. During high school, his love for commerce subjects like accountancy and economics grew into a clear vision for his career.

Instead of settling for a college he didn't want, Abhinav made a bold decision. He would take a gap year and prepare full-time for the CA Foundation exam, one of India's most challenging professional certifications.

His family supported him completely. "My family's support and encouragement pushed me to pursue CA and work towards building a professional career path," Abhinav explained.

Six months before the exam, he enrolled in an online learning platform called PhysicsWallah. His routine became intense but focused: 6 to 7 hours of classes daily, followed by late-night self-study sessions.

As exam day approached, Abhinav ramped up his schedule. In the final three months, he studied 10 to 11 hours daily, sometimes pushing to 12 or 13 hours in the last stretch.

He used every resource available. Abhinav solved practice tests, watched free revision lectures online, and constantly identified his weak areas to improve.

The hard work paid off spectacularly. Abhinav secured All India Rank 12 in the CA Foundation exam, competing against thousands of candidates nationwide.

Abhinav's journey shows that closed doors can open better windows. What looked like failure in June 2025 became the catalyst for an achievement that will shape his entire career.

His success wasn't about innate genius. It came from showing up every single day, even when progress felt slow.

Now preparing for the next level of CA exams, Abhinav has simple advice for others facing setbacks: "Daily progress, no matter how small, is extremely important. There will be ups and downs during preparation, and not every day will be equally productive. But what matters is that you keep moving forward."
