Coach Thad Matta Retires with 502 Wins and New Role
After more than 20 years leading Division I basketball programs, legendary coach Thad Matta is retiring from the sidelines with 502 career wins but staying on to serve Butler University in a new capacity. The three-time Big Ten Coach of the Year will remain as special assistant to the president and athletic director, keeping his deep connection to the school where his coaching journey began.
