215 Kenyan Officers Return Home After Haiti Peace Mission

After months serving in one of the world's most challenging environments, 215 Kenyan police officers touched down on home soil this week to a hero's welcome.

"In a foreign land, under difficult conditions, our officers upheld the highest standards of discipline and courage, flying the Kenyan flag with distinction," Amollo told the gathered crowd.

The celebration carried a bittersweet note as officials honored three officers who lost their lives during the mission. "Their sacrifice will forever remain etched in our national conscience, and we continue to stand firmly with their families," Amollo said.
