Construction has officially begun on a major housing project in Addis Ababa that will bring 1,086 new apartments to Ethiopia's capital, thanks to a partnership between the Ethiopian Army Foundation and UAE-based Reportage Properties.

The ambitious development spans 23,000 square meters and includes two residential towers, commercial space, recreational facilities, and green areas. It represents one of the most significant international real estate investments in the city in recent years.

Martha Luwigi, board chairperson of the Ethiopian Army Foundation, highlighted what makes this project special beyond just the buildings themselves. The development will create construction jobs while transferring valuable building technology and expertise to local workers who can use these skills on future projects.
