Ethiopia is earning recognition as Africa's next economic powerhouse, and one of the world's leading development experts says the transformation is just getting started.

Professor Jeffrey Sachs, a Columbia University economist and global sustainable development advocate, praised Ethiopia's rapid progress during the African Union Summit this week. He described the nation as one of the most vibrant and forward-looking economies on the planet, crediting visionary leadership and strategic planning that looks 10 to 20 years ahead.
