Green Party co-leader Felix Banaszak explained the rationale behind the outreach. "We're working on the question of what we can do to prevent society from falling apart at this time," he told reporters. "That also requires a union of the political mainstream."

Kramp-Karrenbauer now chairs the Konrad Adenauer Foundation, a think tank aligned with the conservative CDU party. Her presence at the Green conference wasn't just symbolic. Both organizations are actively exploring ways to bridge Germany's political divides.
