The New York startup launched two new EV chargers that hang from garage ceilings or bolt to walls, installing in just hours instead of weeks. No trenching required, and installation costs drop up to 70% compared to traditional setups.

Here's why that matters: nearly one-third of Americans live in apartments or condos, but less than 5% of home EV charging happens at these buildings. The biggest barrier? Installation nightmares that involve digging, rewiring, and disrupting everyone's parking for weeks.

Voltpost's Ceiling Mount solves the tripping hazard problem with a retractable cable that lowers when needed and disappears when done. No cables lying on garage floors getting run over, soaked, or causing falls.

The Surface Mount works the same way but attaches to walls and pedestals for parking areas without suitable ceilings. Both models deliver enough power to add 25 to 30 miles of range per hour, perfect for overnight charging.

Property owners can order them with one or two ports and choose between standard or Tesla-style connectors. Drivers pay through an app, credit card, or RFID card, and the chargers show up in Google Maps, Apple Maps, Waze, and navigation systems.

The company built these chargers with older buildings in mind. They use existing structures instead of requiring major renovations, making it possible to add charging to garages built decades before electric cars existed.
