Andy Ross, guitarist for the band Ok Go, launched Say the Same Thing back in 2013. The app turned a simple improv game into a digital puzzle where players try to find the connection between two random words. If you get "Mars" and "Netflix," you might both say "The Martian."

Within one week, over a million people downloaded it. But as Ross and his bandmates focused on their music and viral videos, the app faded away.

The fans never forgot though. For years, Ross kept getting messages asking when the game would return. One message stood out above all the rest.

Two people had met through Say the Same Thing in 2013. They connected over the game, started talking, and eventually fell in love. Years later, they got married and reached out to thank Ross for creating the app that brought them together.
