Saudi Arabia Partners with US University for Gifted Youth

Saudi Arabia is opening doors for its most talented students through a groundbreaking partnership that bridges continents and unlocks potential.

The King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity, known as Mawhiba, signed an agreement with the University of New Haven Riyadh this week. The collaboration will provide gifted secondary and university students with academic enrichment programs, summer courses, and specialized training opportunities.

The partnership supports Saudi Vision 2030, the Kingdom's ambitious plan to develop human capabilities and empower homegrown talent. Students will gain access to programs both in Saudi Arabia and at the university's main campus in Connecticut, with some even traveling to the school's Tuscany, Italy location.

Top performing students enrolled at the new Riyadh campus will receive dedicated support through custom programs designed just for them. The agreement also includes professional development training to help these young minds prepare for future careers.

The University of New Haven made history as the first American university to open an international branch in Saudi Arabia. Its Riyadh campus welcomes its inaugural class in August 2025 and will eventually serve 13,000 undergraduate and graduate students.

Students can choose from programs in business administration, sports management, e-sports, marketing, and MBA courses. All programs align with Saudi Arabia's evolving economy and job market needs.

The new campus will house three colleges: Business and Digital Innovation, Engineering and Advanced Manufacturing, and Arts and Applied Sciences. This structure ensures students graduate with skills the Kingdom's growing economy demands.
