Springfield's 9th Earth Day Festival Brings Free Music & Fun

Springfield residents have a reason to celebrate spring and the planet at the same time this weekend.

Unity of Springfield is bringing back its Planet Unity Celebration for the ninth year, transforming its Seminole Street location into a hub of music, learning, and community connection. The free event runs April 17-18 and welcomes everyone to join the festivities.

Friday evening kicks off at 6 p.m. with live music, food, and drinks to set a festive tone. Saturday's main event starts at 10 a.m. and expands into a full day of environmental education, local artisan vendors, and family fun.

Dickerson Park Zoo will present "Native Animals," helping visitors learn about the creatures that call Missouri home. Eden Village residents will share their handmade crafts while teaching attendees about sustainable living throughout the day.

Kids can bounce in inflatable houses, create crafts, and explore activities designed just for them. Parents can browse local vendor booths, enjoy live performances, and enter raffles for prizes. Door prizes will be given out every thirty minutes to keep the excitement flowing.
