What makes this especially remarkable is that the Model X outsells much cheaper options. It beats the Toyota GR86 sports car (35 days), the Honda Civic Hybrid (35 days), and even Tesla's own more affordable Model 3 (33 days).

The timing couldn't be better for used EV shoppers. Tesla recently announced it will stop producing the Model X and Model S to make room for their Optimus robot project, making existing models more valuable to buyers who want this particular vehicle.

The Bright Side

Smart shoppers are finding incredible deals on these luxury electric SUVs. A 2022 Model X originally sold for around $116,000 when new, but used versions now sell for under $60,000 at retailers like CarMax.

That dramatic price drop means families can afford serious performance and technology. The 2022 Model X pumps out 670 horsepower from its dual motors and travels up to 351 miles on a single charge. Even with normal battery wear, used models still deliver over 300 miles of range.

The shift toward used electric vehicles makes sense for many drivers. Gas price spikes from global conflicts have pushed more Americans to consider electric options, and buying used removes the biggest barrier: the high price of new EVs.

Tesla's exclusive Supercharger network sweetens the deal. These fast chargers work seamlessly with the Model X, making road trips practical and reducing range anxiety that stops some buyers from going electric.

The Model X also offers genuine family practicality. It seats up to seven people comfortably and provides the cargo space parents need for sports equipment, groceries, and weekend adventures.

American car buyers are proving they're ready for electric vehicles, especially when the price is right and the vehicle delivers real value for daily life.
