California Urges Mpox Vaccines as Cases Rise Statewide
California health officials are encouraging at-risk residents to get vaccinated against mpox as case rates have more than quadrupled compared to last year. The vaccine provides strong protection against both strains of the virus, and most new infections are happening in unvaccinated people.
