IIT Mandi Device Detects Landslides at 90% Accuracy
A low-cost early warning system developed at IIT Mandi can detect slope movements as small as one millimeter, offering mountain communities an affordable alternative to expensive imported disaster prevention technology. The device achieves 90% accuracy and could save lives across India's vulnerable Himalayan regions.
